Go Ikeyamada’s Romantic Comedy Manga, Takanashi-ke no Imoto Nears Its End
Shojo manga artist Gō Ikeyamada ends the new series Takanashi-ke no Imoto in the June issue.

Shogakukan’s Sho-Comi magazine has revealed that Gō Ikeyamada’s latest manga, Takanashi-ke no Imōto wa Hanayome ni Naritai!! (I Want the Takanashi Family's Younger Sister to Be My Bride!!), will end in its next issue. The last chapter will be published on June 5, which is going to close the series that started hardly a year ago.
The series centers on a young soccer-loving boy whose life is turned upside down. He ends up staying with two beautiful twin sisters and their cute little brother. What ensues is a colorful and frequently hilarious ride through the commotion of their collective home. With its combination of slice-of-life and romantic tension, the manga quickly attracted followers.

A Short But Memorable Run
The series made its debut in Sho-Comi in August 2023. Since then, readers have followed the characters' daily lives, emotional moments, and blooming relationships. Shogakukan released the fifth collected volume of the manga on March 26, offering fans a chance to revisit key chapters ahead of the conclusion. Despite its brief run, the series made a strong impression on fans of shojo romance.
Ikeyamada’s Track Record of Popular Works
Gō Ikeyamada is a well-known shojo manga creator. One of her earlier works is Isekai Maō wa Fujoshi o Zettai Nigasanai (The Demon King From Another World Will Not Allow the Fujoshi to Get Away). It ran from July 2020 to February 2022 and ended with volume seven in September 2022.
Her earlier hit, So Cute It Hurts!! (Kobayashi ga Kawai Sugite Tsurai!!), which went on to conclude in 2015, was published in North America by Viz Media. The manga was adapted into two original anime DVDs. Another popular work, *Suki Desu Suzuki-kun!!*, also got an anime DVD in 2010.
As Takanashi-ke no Imōto wa Hanayome ni Naritai!! It is coming to its last chapter, fans are anxiously anticipating the ending, and wondering what Ikeyamada will be working on next.
