Pokémon and Weekly Shonen Jump Reveal Major Crossover with Top Manga Artists
Shonen Jump and Pokémon team up for the first time in a special August 4 issue, featuring iconic characters like Luffy and Pikachu on exclusive cover art

Pokémon and Shonen Jump are teaming up in a way no one expected. This is the first time ever that Pokémon and Shonen Jump are working together in a special crossover. The August 4 Weekly Shonen Jump will have cool art showing popular manga characters with Pokémon. Fans will probably find this very exciting.
Famous Artists Draw Pokémon With Their Own Characters
One Piece artist Eiichiro Oda has already made a cool drawing of Monkey D. Luffy with Pikachu, and it looks amazing. Alongside him, Kouji Miura from Blue Box and Shuhei Miyazaki from Me & Roboco also do their part. Each of them is putting their main characters with one of the Pokémon for the cover.
Surprisingly, Pokémon and Shonen Jump never worked together like this before. Even though both are huge in Japan for so many years. But Pokémon have been in manga already for a long time, just not like this. These stories are much darker than the fun Pokémon shows with Ash. Especially in the U.S, fans noticed how different those comics were.
Many New Things Are Coming from Pokémon Soon
Besides this magazine crossover, Pokémon isn’t slowing down. A new game is coming (they didn’t say when), and also some new animated things. A new stop-motion show called Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu is coming, made by Aardman, the studio behind Wallace & Gromit. It’s planned for 2027 and will happen in a new region that fans have been excited to see more of.
Also Rea: New ONE PIECE Dub Episodes (1123–1133) Premiere August 12 on Crunchyroll
And also, Pokémon Concierge Season 2 will come to Netflix on September 4. It will continue the story of Haru and Psyduck as they meet new Pokémon like Luxray, Shinx, Arcanine, and others. The story is still calm and happy, but now Haru knows what to do when things go wrong.
This crossover may be strange at first, but it’s also exciting. People who love both Shonen Jump and Pokémon will find a lot to enjoy. It’s not every day you get Luffy and Pikachu on the same page.
