Shinei Animation Unveils Toritsukare Otoko Film with Musical Cast, Debut in November
Toritsukare Otoko anime film drops new trailer, reveals cast, music team, and release date. In the trailer, what stands out most is the songs. Main voice actors Sano and Kamishiraishi are singing too, not just talking.

Bandai Namco Filmworks and Shinei Animation just showed a new trailer that’s mostly music stuff for the anime film Toritsukare Otoko (meaning Obsessed Man). It’s made from a novel by Shinji Ishii, and they're saying now that it’s going to open on November 7, 2025. Along with that, they also say who’s doing the voices.
In the trailer, what stands out most is the songs. Main voice actors Sano and Kamishiraishi are singing too, not just talking. The music part seems big for this one. One song from the film, called "Fanfare Koi ni Ukarete", is played in the video. That one is by Atagi from Awesome City Club, who’s writing music for an anime film first time now.
He did five songs for this movie, also helping with background music. His songs seem to match the soft, romantic mood of what’s going on in the story. This mix of song and talking might make the film feel more alive, like of musical but still with an anime style.
A Man's Feelings, A Balloon Seller, and One Small Mouse
The main story follows this guy Giuseppe, who everybody around says is kind of weird because he keeps getting obsessed with random things for a short time. Like, totally into something, then next week it's something else. That’s his thing. But one day, he meets Pechka, who sells balloons, and he suddenly falls in love right away.
Even though Giuseppe tries to be near her, Pechka has something sad in her, and she doesn’t let people get too close. He doesn’t give up, though. With help from his little mouse buddy Cielo, he starts using all those old obsessions from before to understand Pechka and help her in small ways. Maybe like that, he can reach her heart.

Wataru Takahashi, who worked on a few Crayon Shin-chan movies, is directing the film. Naoyuki Miura wrote the script, and Masatsugu Arakawa did the character designs. Shinei Animation is making the film, and Bandai Namco Filmworks is handling the release.
The original book came out back in 2001, and some readers liked how it mixed strange ideas with gentle emotions. Now the movie is trying to keep that feeling, but adding voices, color, and music.
The film will be in Japanese cinemas starting November 7. No news yet about when it’s coming outside Japan, but maybe more updates will come later this year.
