Sony Interactive Entertainment and PlayStation’s Santa Monica Studio’s upcoming God of War Ragnarok has now gone gold. This means that the game is now officially ready to be mass circulated in the markets. While we knew that this was to happen soon, given that the game is set to launch in less than a month on November 9th, here’s just a reminder that we are closer than ever to finally playing the game.
God of War Ragnarok is a PlayStation Exclusive for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 ofcourse. It can be pre-ordered for Rs 4,999 (PlayStation 5) and Rs 3,999 (PlayStation 4) only on the PlayStation Store, along with additional perks like collectibles. While the countdown’s on till November 9th, here’s why you should definitely consider giving this game a try when it’s out.
Sequel to God of War (2018)
God of War is anyway a critically acclaimed franchise. However, the 2018 game God of War was exceptionally appreciated for its quality. It holds the record of winning more than 190 Game of the Year Awards, including one from The Game Awards 2018. God of War: Ragnarok is a sequel to this game. It takes forward the story of the father-son duo of Kratos and Atreus that was established in the first game. Naturally, fans of the 2018 game can’t wait to know what’s coming next in the story, and that’s what’s all the hype around God of War: Ragnarok is about.
Unique Storyline
God of War (2018) itself started something unique and different in this classic franchise from Sony and PlayStation. The classic action-RPG, brought in elements of love and tenderness, especially in the form of a father-son relationship. We got to see a different side of Kratos with this game. God of War: Ragnarok will now play around with this very relationship, only now, there’s a slight reversal of roles. Atreus is stronger, and powerful enough for his father Kratos to now depend on him.
Ultimate exploration of Norse mythology and universe
The adventure through the Norse universe started with God of War back in 2018. We got to explore six of the nine realms in the first game- Midgard, Alfheim (home to light and dark elves), Helheim (the Underworld), Jotunheim (Land of the Giants), Niflheim, and Muspelheim. In God of War: Ragnarok, we’ll get to experience Asgard, Vanaheim, and Svartalfheim.
A Technical Marvel
The trailers themselves speak for this and we need not elaborate any further. All we can say is that the trailers and gameplays that we’ve seen till now are visual treats. SIE, Sony PlayStation and Santa Monica continue to make things better- graphically, and visually.
And finally, God of War: Ragnarok is a highly anticipated game!
Need we say more? Probably “one of the most” anticipated game of the year, if not the most, right after Elden Ring. It’s high time we acknowledge that there may be some truth to hypes. Also, PlayStation has announced that God of War: Ragnarok can be downloaded a week before its official release.
