Apex Legends Season 25 Midseason Patch: Legend Reworks, Weapon Nerfs, and Lockdown LTM Return
Apex Legends Season 25 midseason update adds Revenant buffs, weapon changes, matchmaking fixes, and the return of the fan-favorite Lockdown LTM.

Respawn has now pushed out the Season 25 midseason update for Apex Legends, and there's lot going on. The update is calling itself “Breakout Reloaded”, and while it’s not a huge content drop, but it does bring quite a bit for players to care about. With legend changes, new balance in weapons and the LTM coming back, there’s plenty to look at. Here's all that matters.
Revenant Got Big Changes, Others Too
A major rebalance has been done to Revenant, who now has stronger mobility than before. His Passive, Assassin Instinct, got a better animation for wall climbing, and tracking enemies feels smoother. His Tactical, Shadow Pounce, is more controllable while jumping, which makes him more effective in fights now.
Some other legends are also getting small tweaks. Pathfinder’s zipline swings with better speed and handling, while Lifeline’s D.O.C. drone is coming out just slightly quicker. These changes seem minor, but can affect fights in different ways.
Weapons Adjusted and New Crafting Pool
Midway through the season, some weapons saw changes that affect the gameplay flow. The Hemlok Burst AR now does less headshot damage, making it slightly weaker. CAR SMG has more kick when fired from the hip, so harder to control close up. Meanwhile, the Mozambique, once ignored, got improvements with wider projectiles and tighter spread.
Crafting rotation has also been updated:
-
R-301 and Peacekeeper are now ground loot again.
-
Volt and Triple Take are inside Replicator.
-
Shield Bats and Med Kits back in the floor loot.
So players need to plan loadouts differently than before, depending on their favorite style.
Matchmaking Feels Better and Ranked Fixes
Changes to matchmaking and Ranked system have been brought in quietly. The anti-smurf detection is now more active, which Respawn says should make Ranked fairer for everyone. The higher tier lobbies now feel more fair, and you see lesser one-sided matches, especially in Diamond and up.
Some backend updates are also helping lobbies become more balanced, though still, sometimes team setups feel random.
Lockdown LTM is Here Again
One of the more liked Limited-Time Modes, Lockdown, is back now. It’s a mode where squads must capture and hold control zones in different maps like Olympus and Storm Point. This mode is only there for 2 weeks, and it gives some rewards like skins, trackers, and a new Wattson epic skin.
Bug Fixing and Small Improvements
A bunch of bugs are removed, like the ones affecting Crypto’s drone camera and those collision issues in Broken Moon. UI has been cleaned a little, and pings seems faster now.
Conclusion
So the Season 25 midseason patch ain’t the biggest update ever, but it brings new energy to Apex Legends with balances, returning mode and few important fixes. More stuff might still come before season’s over, so players should keep checking what’s next.
