Apple Arcade Expansion Brings Lost in Play+, LEGO Hill Climb Adventures+ and More

Apple Arcade adds five new games, including UNO: Arcade Edition, WHAT THE CAR?, LEGO Hill Climb Adventures+, and more, with Vision Pro support and updates.

When Apple Arcade first launched, it just gave the impression that it was just another subscription service, which is already present in abundance in the market. But eventually, it was hinted that they are thinking about making it more than a traditional games subscription service. With new games like UNO: Arcade Edition and WHAT THE CAR? made for the Apple Vision Pro, Apple is clearly showing that it’s ready to do more than just offer mobile games.

You must have also noticed that most mobile games today are full of ads, paywalls, and unnecessary in-app purchases. One starts playing for fun, but then you either get interrupted every few minutes or are forced to pay real money to continue. Apple Arcade removes all of that.

Of course, this is not free, and for this, you pay Rs 99 every month, and you get access to more than 200 games. No ads, no extra payments, and you can even share the subscription with five other people in your family. If you ask us, that’s a great deal, especially for students who want good games but can’t keep spending money every day.  As Apple is venturing into this market, the price won't be the same as always. This is less for now, but you can easily expect it to rise eventually.

What is more impressive is that most of the new updates are that Apple is not adding random or boring games into the inventory. They are choosing games that are fun, creative, and sometimes even award-winning, and the most recent additions are Lost in Play+, WHAT THE CAR?, UNO: Arcade Edition and LEGO Hill Climb Adventures+, and more.

Lost in Play+ is a kind a point-and-click game that includes no dialogue. It just has visuals and puzzles. Just to let you know, it was even named iPad Game of the Year in 2023. Next one is WHAT THE CAR? The game is as interesting as its name. This game is specially made for Apple Vision Pro. And with the Vision Pro, players move their heads or bodies to control it.

Also, Apple isn’t ignoring older games. Skate City got a new area, Queens, and Crayola Create and Play+ added a Paddington-themed summer event. Of course, it may not compete with PlayStation or Xbox, but let's be honest, it doesn’t need to. If you are a casual gamer, go for it.
