Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Claws of Awaji DLC Releasing September 16
Claws of Awaji DLC for Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches Sept 16. Explore Awaji Island, battle Sanzoku Ippa, and unlock new weapons, skills & gear.

The long-awaited expansion for Assassin's Creed Shadows, "Claws of Awaji," will be released on September 16, and will be released as a paid download; however, players who preordered the base game will receive the expansion free of charge. Players must complete the main campaign of Assassin's Creed: Shadows before embarking on this new adventure.
"Claws of Awaji" brings players to Awaji Island's remoteness, which is beyond Osaka Bay. This new section features more areas for exploration and combat, while continuing Kentucky and Ian's storylines from the main game. Players can discover further information about Naoe's family background and storyline. Yasuke may even experience more Templar challenges, which expands his vertical role for the overall story line. Players will have over 10 hours of brand-new story content along with some side missions, making for a sizable narrative expansion overall. New gear, abilities, and outfits will be introduced for players to equip and continue adjusting upgrades. Furthermore, players can expect new enemy types, which will also require players to learn ways to change their combat strategy.

In “Claws of Awaji,” Naoe and Yasuke are on their second (and final) expansive treasure recovery mission. Unfortunately, the Sanzoku Ippa faction is also in town. The expansion serves to widen the already existing story by following the main storyline directly after the ending credits in the main game. Awaji Island features a unique setting with its own obstacles because it is a remote location that the player has to enter, allowing players to complete missions using stealth, combat and exploration tactics while avoiding the faction during their movements. The side missions will allow players to experience more lore and activities surrounding the expansion, and will allow fans of Assassin's Creed: Shadows to have a complete expansion experience.
