Blade Voice Lines in Honkai Star Rail Reveal His True Feelings About Other Characters
Blade’s voice lines in Honkai Star Rail reveal his deep thoughts, past regrets, and complex relationships with characters like Kafka, Dan Heng, and Jing Yuan

Blade is one of those characters who really stands out with a cool design, sad past and is always brooding, and a lot of players like him for that reason. But what’s even more interesting is what he says about the other characters in Honkai: Star Rail. If you check his voice lines, you’ll see a different side of him. It's not always clear, but his words show pain, anger, and even respect sometimes.
Talking About Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Jing Yuan
With Kafka, Blade talks about something called the Mara’s tether. He's sure she's keeping it and won’t let it go until the right time. He kind of respects her control, like she knows when to act and when not to.
Silver Wolf is different. Blade sees her like she’s always in a game. But in that game, she never gives up. It doesn’t matter if it’s hard or dangerous; she just keeps going. He sees strength in that.
Then comes Jing Yuan. Blade doesn’t hide his anger. He says Jing Yuan always knew what was coming but still did nothing. That silence? It clearly hurt Blade more than he admits.
Dan Heng, Jingliu, Sam, and Firefly: They All Matter Too
Dan Heng's voice line is more personal. Blade calls him by his past name, Imbibitor Lunae. He asks when they’ll face the consequences for what they did. Not blame, more like a painful reminder.
Jingliu really hurt him. Blade still remembers how painful it was when she used her sword. He still feels it, like the pain didn’t really leave him. It’s not just physical; it’s deeper than that.

Surprisingly, he kind of admires Sam. Says Sam is good at making purgatory, something Blade’s been stuck in forever. That’s the closest Blade gets to saying someone “gets” him.
And Firefly, Blade feels like both of them are trapped. He wants to die; she wants to live. But they’re both stuck chasing something they might never get.
Blade’s voice lines say more than just a few words. They show someone carrying old wounds, watching others, judging, and remembering. And maybe, in those lines, he’s still trying to understand himself too.
