Buzz Lightyear’s time in Brawl Stars is coming to an end, with the Legendary Brawler set to leave the game on February 4, 2025. Players who unlocked him as a Brawlidays 2024 gift between December 12 and December 31 have only a short time left to enjoy his abilities.
Buzz Lightyear Exits Brawl Stars as Surge Lightyear Joins
Buzz Lightyear features three distinct modes, each offering a different playstyle. His first mode emphasizes long-range laser attacks with damage-over-time effects. The second mode focuses on close combat, utilizing a saber with high mobility. His final mode balances both styles, firing twin lasers with increased damage at close range while dropping bombs for area attacks. His Gadget, Turbo Boosters, grants a short dash, while his Hypercharge, Bravado, temporarily enhances his stats.

As Buzz departs, a new skin, Surge Lightyear, will arrive on February 6, available for free. This coincides with the conclusion of the Pizza Planet event, during which players must redeem their Pizza Slices before the event expires. The removal of Buzz Lightyear marks a shift in Brawl Stars’ special crossover content, making this the last chance for players to experience his unique abilities before he is vaulted.
