Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 4 is now having its final Double XP Weekend, which has started already on Friday, July 25, 2025. The timing was 10 AM PDT, the same as 1 PM EDT or 6 PM BST, and it will go until Monday, July 28. This weekend is being called the most important one because it is the last chance before Season 5 starts, maybe in the first days of August.
Many players have been preparing for this moment to finish the progression they left behind earlier in the season. And for those who have not yet completed weapons or pass tiers, this time is much better.
XP Is Doubled for Player, Weapon, and Pass
What this weekend includes is something more than usual. Not only is Player XP doubled, but also Weapon XP and Battle Pass XP, all same time. It does not happen too many times, so this is a big opportunity.
But something is not included. Zombies mode doesn't have a GobbleGum XP bonus now. Also, XP Tokens, which many players had saved, can't be used during this XP event. After it ends, then yes, tokens can be used again, so better to wait. Treyarch does not allow using them while bonus XP is going on.
Methods to Gain More XP Faster
To make better progress during the event, players should go for modes that give much XP. Like Domination, Hardpoint, or Kill Confirmed, they offer good scores for actions completed. That gives steady XP earning for a match.
Another way is completing the daily and weekly challenges, which also give bonus XP. Since all XP is doubled now, those missions become more helpful. Warzone players should try Resurgence and Plunder, as these modes give more chances for loot and faster play.
XP Tokens, even if they are in inventory, cannot be activated now. This is normal for all XP weekends before.
This last XP weekend is being major event before new content comes in Black Ops 6. It is expected that Season 5 might begin around August 7. So players who want to do last-level progress must use this time, or they will lose a big advantage.
There was also a teaser of something new, like Avalon, in the story. This could lead to Warzone changes or even the next season being different in tone. So players should better prepare now.
