CoD: Black Ops 6 & Warzone Update Replaces Grief Mode, Fixes Woods Skin Bug
Latest Black Ops 6 and Warzone update revamps Grief mode mechanics, fixes exploits, and re-enables the disabled Numbers skin for Frank Woods.

So, Treyarch released an update on June 12, and it makes some pretty tough changes to the Grief mode in Zombies. The devs said it's for making matches more intense and also for not being so long. Zombies now have more melee damage in Round 1, and it even gets painful after that. By round 20, they have 4 times the damage, like seriously. If you have full perks and armor, just 4 hits and you're dead.
There is also this GobbleGum thing, now it's got 5 minute cooldown instead of applying all the time. You can't spam it anymore. Salvage drops? Halved to 50 now. And special zombies are no longer giving Chopper Gunner or Mutant Injection anymore. Plus, you can only craft 1 self-revive per player. That's it. Also, AFK players are now kicked if you're not moving for 1 minute.
Gameplay Feels Bit More Balanced Now
Another thing they've done is tuned the melee problem. People were being too crazy about it beforehand. Now, if someone hits you, it flinch less, and repeat melee stuns won't continue to stack. You get stunned once, and then it waits. They also tuned the kills needed for Healing Aura and Aether Shroud – 240 and 180 kills now. Makes it not so easy to get out of a tight spot.
Weapon Roulette was being weird, sometimes offering broken stuff or Wonder Weapons that aren't there. That got tuned too.
Grief Getting Shorter But Harder
Developers say they want to keep the Grief match below 30 minutes now. No more dragging to 50+ rounds. They want it fast, more brutal and high energy. The direction is making grief more competitive. They are also listening to community things and perhaps more changes are on the way next update.
Rifle Got Patched Properly
Essex Model 07 rifle also had its issue, with the Rapid Fire attachment not functioning properly. That got fixed now. Players using this rifle won't be disappointed anymore, finally. Numbers Skin Is Back Again. There was a skin for Frank Woods named "Numbers" that was broken earlier. It showed only red texture or nothing. But now they fixed it and it's working again. So whoever had it can use it again in both games.
Final Thoughts On This Patch
This patch makes matches feel quicker and riskier. No more free GobbleGum spamming or stacking revive kits. Mistakes are punished more now. Melee feels more balanced. And yeah, the Woods skin looks nice again.

What To Look Out For
Treyarch is preparing more changes. They said they're gonna tweak Grief more to make it tighter, aggressive, and less dull. So, better give your feedback after testing out the new patch. Black Ops 6 and Warzone are pushing hard for better play, and this update shows that's the plan.
