CODM Season 5 Adds Zoo Map, VMP SMG & NieR Event
CODM Season 5: Primal Reckoning brings the VMP SMG, Zoo map, NieR: Automata crossover, and new Battle Pass rewards.

Call of Duty: Mobile comes back again with its Season 5 update, titled Primal Reckoning, arriving on May 28, 2025. This new season mixes chaotic jungle vibes, futuristic gear, and a huge collab with the famous NieR: Automata universe. Players can expect a lot more action, content, and reasons to jump into the game.
Battle Pass: Packed With Operators, Skins, and the Fast-Firing VMP
This season's Battle Pass got two tracks free and premium. On the free side, players can unlock the VMP SMG, a fast-shooting submachine gun that is easy to handle and effective in close fights. A Combat Axe skin is also available on the free tier.
Premium Battle Pass is where the real glamour lives. New Operator skins include Gustavo – Viciousness, Lazarus – Scrim Net, and American Bulldog – Tentacles. Weapon blueprints such as the ASM10 – Birds of Prey and Koshka – Snow Leopard bring stylish design to your arsenal. Subscribers also get more bonuses like XP boosts, draw tickets, and access to the Ground Forces Bundle featuring Baker – Cobra Hunter, the MSMC – Snake, and a snake-inspired backpack.

Missions, Tokens & New Cache System
Challenge Pass makes a return, offering Standard, Special, and Elite missions. Completing these challenges rewards Challenge Tokens, which players can trade for rewards like the Bathysphere – Killer Whale skin and crate items.
Meanwhile, the Secret Cache gets a major change. The Stun Baton is now gone. Instead, players can chase the new Legendary AK-47 – ICB Rifle. Also added are Universal Shards, which let players save up for premium content later.
New Zoo Map and Battle Royale Tweaks
Multiplayer fans get to explore the Zoo map, a medium-sized map that first appeared in Black Ops. This map includes animal enclosures, a gift shop, and a monorail, setting the stage for fast and fun firefights.
In Battle Royale, players will now find Buy Machines on the Isolated map. These let you spend cash earned from looting or defeating others on powerful gear such as perks, armour, and flamethrowers. The mode now feels more intense and rewarding for aggressive gameplay.
NieR: Automata Takes Over CODM
The biggest event of the season is the NieR: Automata crossover. Players will join the YoRHa Unit through mission trees, collect Skill Chips, and unlock unique rewards, including Kui Ji – YoRHa No.9 Type S and special melee skins themed around the NieR world.
Store Update & Vault Additions
The store features some eye-catching items. The Mythic VMP – Toxic Blooms, crafted by artist Rin Yoshida, headlines the collection. NieR-inspired draws also drop, including the PP19 Bizon – Morph Symphony and AK-47 – Final Apocalypact.
Old favourites like the Rainbow Death Weapon Draw and several items from the Train to Nowhere Battle Pass are now back through the Vault, giving players a second chance to grab them.
