Dead by Daylight x The Walking Dead Officially Announced with Iconic Survivors and New Killer

Dead by Daylight reveals The Walking Dead crossover featuring Rick, Daryl, Michonne, and the terrifying Walker Horde, arriving August 2025.

In some kind of thrilling development for fans of horror-type games and zombie culture followers, Dead by Daylight has now officially said it’s doing a collaboration with The Walking Dead. This got announced at Behaviour Interactive’s event in July, revealing that famous faces and fright elements taken from the known AMC show are about to join inside The Fog.

Very Known Survivors Appear in Game

This new crossover shall bring characters from The Walking Dead show to playable status in Dead by Daylight. Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon and the woman Michonne will be added as survivors with their own voices and clothes. This isn’t just skins though—they are acting with special body movements and different voices talking to make more real for the player.

It is being part of “The Walking Dead Chapter” which looks like same kind of release as older franchise join-ups in the game. The character’s looks are based more on comic but with also bits from TV shows thrown in, like how they speak or standing styles.

Most unique detail comes in the killer side: instead of just one monster, now players will need to fight The Walker Horde. It is not a normal killer. It works by pushing constant and creeping pressure. The developer mentioned it was like “fear that won’t stop coming.” There is no hiding from them forever.

This power is all about group attacking more walkers comes, surrounding survivors and causing panic. In early video, people are shown getting trapped between groups, making escape hard and needing team thinking.

New Map and Game Events for Limited Time

Also part of the event will be a map that is from Alexandria Safe-Zone, which is place from the Walking Dead world. On the map there are towers and fence that break, plus barricades. Sometimes, it will have events like blackout or walker rush, which change things suddenly and give more drama.

There is also game mode for small time, where players take control of Walking Dead characters, doing missions to collect prizes like clothes or bloodpoint or charm items.

The Walking Dead chapter for Dead by Daylight is going to launch August 2025, but there is test version before that in July end. Most of fans who saw trailer said good things, they were happy for scary vibes and real character style.

So this new collab is looking to become one of the biggest and more creative what Dead by Daylight has done until now.
