Delta Force Arrives August 19 on PS5 & Xbox Series X and S with Free Campaign and Cross-Platform Support

Delta Force launches August 19 for PS5 & Xbox Series X|S with cross-play, Black Hawk Down campaign, new maps, and preorder bundle options.

So, Delta Force, that tactical shooter by Team Jade, is now arriving on consoles. It will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 19, 2025. The game has already been available on PC before, but now console players can join in too. This is a free-to-play one, which is good news for most players who do not want to pay from the beginning.

Delta Force: Features on Console and Support for Crosses

This game will have cross-play and progression, which means you play with others on PC and move your stats between devices. Also, developers say the console version is getting special enhancements. These include:

Popular Games

  • Aiming to help controller players

  • More stable framerates and better visuals

  • Already included all updates till the Season Break

Console gamers do not have to wait or miss things, which is very nice from the developer side.

Black Hawk Down Campaign Added From Day 1

One interesting thing to mention is the Black Hawk Down mode. This single-player campaign will be added for free on the day the game launches. It’s been made again using Unreal Engine 5, so it looks much sharper now. The mode is based on the famous film and the old Delta Force version; many players will get nostalgia from that.

Delta Force Season Break Update

Also, the console release will come with full Season “Break” content that launched already for PC in July. It gives many new experiences:

  • Tide Prison map, where the player can swim and hide as a prisoner

  • Cyclone map, with vehicles and changing weather

  • A new fighter called Tempest, who uses a fast suit and a power drill

Besides that, there are more guns, vehicles, and improvements like quicker revive and a command hub for teamwork. So plenty to play around with.

Delta Force Preorder and Store Things

Even though the game itself is free, there is one preorder bundle for $749 or $9.99 on PlayStation and Xbox stores. In this pack:

  • 750 Delta Coins

  • Skins for M249, Vityaz and CAR-15

  • Tokens to boost XP

You do not have to buy it, but some players like to begin with extra things. Also, it can be added to the wishlist if you want a reminder.

Community Talk and Concerns

In gaming communities, especially Reddit, some PC players say the console release will bring more fun and fill servers. One user said, “Glad to see more people gonna play, game felt quiet sometimes.” But not all are happy. Few worry that console folks can’t fight the same as PC players. Developers said there will be an option to opt out of cross-play if needed.

To finish, Delta Force is releasing on consoles August 19. With cross-platform play, free campaign, and updates already included, it offers a good package. Maybe not a perfect launch, but for shooter fans on console, it seems a worthy try.
