Demon1 Could Replace Leaf In VCT Stage 2 for G2?
Demon1's alt account ignites rumours as fans catch onto his alt account personality, could Demon1 be Leaf's replacement for VCT stage 2? Find out in this article

G2 lost in EWC 2025 brutally. Leaf’s health issues have carried over to VCT Stage 2, and he is now officially out of the picture, for Stage 2 at least. With the position now open and rumours going haywire, Demon1 is right in the middle of it. All eyes are on G2 because, in this competitive scene, a substitute can either make or break your team. So, is Demon1 going to G2 in stage 2 of Valorant? Let’s get into it.
Here's Why Demon1 Could be Leaf's Replacement
Demon1’s alt account, Bookreader#book2, was seen spamming rounds on Sentinel, but the real kicker? His account had G2’s player card on his profile. Coincidence? Maybe. A leak? More likely. What's adding fuel to the fire is the coach's cryptic tweet that read, "24.6 years". While you might not make anything of it, it is the biggest Easter Egg of all time. If Demon1 joins the team, this would be the average age of the team players. And without head-diving into the rabbit hole of conspiracies, these hints are enough till we have an actual announcement.
Demon1 is known for his insane aim, but at the same time, he’s also known for his inconsistency. While one would argue that he just hasn’t entered a team that could carry his full potential forward, this move makes sense for G2. It solves the synergy issues — the main problem with last-minute replacements in T1 teams, but it also has its risks.
With Leaf being out due to a wrist injury, Demon1 is a good pick for Stage 2 Valorant; he can substitute in and not break the team’s tempo. But playing Sentinel on G2? While Demon1 has played Sentinel before, he would be better as a duelist. After all, it’s the perfect opportunity to put Demon1 as a secondary duelist, with Jawgemo in the picture. Of course, stats come into play, but we may see the iconic duo of 2023 come back.
The question is, would Demon1 be able to live up to his legacy? Leaf has always been one of the core members of G2, and his impact throughout the season has been solid. So, would Demon1 be able to follow in Leaf's footprints? Demon1's aggressive play style fits G2, while Leaf's play style is more team-oriented, making players question if G2 could adopt a new play style through this sub.
While this rumour is still up in the air, making it unclear if Demon1 is playing Stage 2 with G2 or just subbing in for scrims, it still raises the question. What do you think? If Demon1 replaces Leaf, would Leaf end up replaced forever? Or do you think that’s unlikely, as Leaf is such an integral part of G2?
