The famous anime Detective Conan (also known as Case Closed around the world) is getting ready to celebrate its 30th anniversary! A new logo and a special video have been released to start the big event, called the Detective Conan 30 YEAR PROJECT. The celebration will officially begin in January 2026, marking 30 years since the anime first aired in 1996.
Logo and Video Launch Set the Tone
The 30 YEAR PROJECT is a special celebration to honor the long history of Detective Conan and its fans around the world. The new logo and video are just the start of what’s expected to be a year-long tribute.
The new logo shows the main character, Conan Edogawa (who is really a teen detective Shinichi Kudō in a child’s body), kneeling confidently and holding a magnifying glass. The glass cleverly forms the “0” in the number “30,” adding a fun design to mark the anniversary.
A special 3-minute video also came out, showing famous scenes from the anime to get fans excited for what’s coming next.
Detective Conan appeared in Weekly Shonen Sunday in January 1994, and it was created by Gōshō Aoyama. It has become one of the longest innovative things in terms of both manga and anime. There are 106 volumes so far, and it’s still super popular in Japan and worldwide. In North America and other English-speaking countries, it’s called Case Closed and published by VIZ Media.
