EA Sports is returning this year with EA FC 26, the latest entry into its football game franchise. And it seems like the developers are putting in a lot of effort this time, especially after fans were slightly disappointed with FC 25. The trailer has already got people excited, as the game seems to be bringing tonnes of new developments in graphics, gameplay improvements, and even more customization.
Release and Platform Availability
EA FC 26 is officially releasing on September 26, 2025, but those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition will get access on September 19, 2025, so that's lovely for those who can't wait.
And the game will be releasing on so many platforms again:

- Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One
- PC
- Nintendo Switch and Switch 2
So regardless if you're on a new console or you have an older console, the game is definitely coming for all types of players.

Why So Much Hype?
People were not very happy with FC 25, so EA may have listened to all the complaints this time. From what the trailer shows, they added better animations, AI that’s more clever, and a lot more things to do in Career Mode and Ultimate Team.
They bring back Evolution mechanics too, where players can build and grow their squad in more special ways. With nice pre-order bonuses, big platform support, and clearly an effort to fix things, EA FC 26 might actually turn out the way fans were hoping last year. This could be the bounce-back year for the game series.
