Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream Gets July Release Date and Free Demo

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream arrives July 15 on PC and consoles. Play the free demo now and continue your progress in the full cinematic stealth adventure.

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream, a cinematic stealth game with puzzles and strategy, has now been confirmed to come out on July 15, 2025. The developer River End Games, which is a small team of 16 people, revealed this at the Future Games Show. The game will be released on PC (Steam and Epic), also on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Try the Demo First—And Progress Saves

Interestingly, they released a demo already—on June 8—and it’s gotten positive reviews from many on Steam. As per the developers, this demo lets players explore Hanna's story and sneak around the city streets. One of the best parts is, the progress from the demo will transfer to the final release. That is something players will appreciate, surely.

Visually Stunning and Story‑Driven

Set in a fictional Scandinavian place during the early 1900s time, the city of Eriksholm is almost like it’s alive. It’s not a big city, but it has plenty of moody corners and good lighting in scenes. A reviewer even said, “It feels like playing a film, but in a better way”, which really says how cinematic the whole thing looks and plays.

Characters With Special Moves & Stealth

In the game, you will be using three different characters. Every one of them has unique skills, so players must switch and use them right to solve things and get past guards. You can sneak, create distractions, and use shadows to your advantage. It’s kind of puzzle-ish too, so the thinking part is important, not just moving around.

Big Ambition From Small Team

Although the team behind Eriksholm is very small—just 16 people—the game feels pretty big in scale. Creative Director Anders Hejdenberg said something like, "We didn’t do it cause it's easy but cause we thought it would be". That shows the project has been challenging, but also full of creative passion from the team.

July is Coming Soon

With the full game not far—July 15—players can go and try the free demo on Steam or Epic. It gives a decent idea of what the gameplay is, and since progress carries over, you don’t have to play again from the start. You can also wishlist it or even pre-order if you like what you played.

Final Thoughts

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream has something special going on. Maybe not a blockbuster, but with its good story, stealth mechanics, and lovely art, it may surprise people. It’s not perfect, but it feels meaningful. The best way is, try the demo and see for yourself. Then, come July, the full journey begins.
