EWC 2025 Club Championship: Everything You Need To Know

EWC 2025 Club Championship prize breakdown with all ranks, rules, and rewards explained in a mixed, human-like tone.

The Esports World Cup 2025 arrived with a ton of hype as well as the largest prize pool they have ever had. This year, total prize money reached nearly 70.5 million dollars, more than what they had for 2024. However, they were looking at more than tournaments and prize money; everyone was watching the Club Championship, not just about one game, but rather how good an esports club did across many. Big names, big performances, as well as now big rewards, for clubs that did more than win once. Let’s see how they distributed the prize money and who got what.

EWC 2025 Club Championship: Total Prize Pool Division

At the centre of the event is the Club Championship. Here, 16 teams play in many different games and collect points. A total of $27 million is given for this, and the top club can take home $7 million. Teams will get points from how they perform across games, not just one. It means consistency matters more here.

How do they qualify?

To qualify for the Club Championship top 16, a team needs to reach the top 8 in at least two different games and must win one tournament to be eligible to win the whole thing. The point system used is the same as last year—1st place gives 1000 points, 2nd gets 600, 3rd gets 350, and down to 8th place, which gets 20 points. If two clubs have the same points, the first thing they check is who won more tournaments. If that’s also equal, then it goes to a head-to-head result. And if still tied, EWC has another rule to break the tie.

Ronaldo Is Involved Now

One big surprise this time is that Cristiano Ronaldo was named the global ambassador of the event. So, they want to attract even more audiences, maybe from the football side too. He already appeared in games before, so it kind of makes sense.

This time, EWC did something different. Not only are good players, but now even the organizations are in focus. The big prize made it competitive. Even the 16th-ranked team takes home a lot. That makes the event more strategic. It’s not only about winning a single game but showing up well in more than one. So, the EWC 2025 Club Championship has changed how the top teams gonna play. The prize pool made everyone serious. Let’s see how it changes future seasons.
