Fortnite OG Season 3: Classic Features Return Alongside The Walking Dead Collaboration
Fortnite OG Season 3 is here! Lucky Landing returns, 50v50 battles make a comeback, and a mysterious meteor looms. Plus, The Walking Dead crossover lets players create survival-themed islands with new NPCs and weapons!
The latest Fortnite OG Season 3 update is here, bringing back fan-favorite features from Chapter 1 and introducing an exciting crossover with The Walking Dead. Players can revisit the iconic Lucky Landing POI, take part in OG 50v50 battles, and watch as a mysterious meteor moves closer throughout the season.
Additionally, Fortnite creators can now build custom islands inspired by The Walking Dead Universe, featuring unique weapons, NPCs, and effects.The Lucky Landing location is back, giving players a nostalgic battleground to explore. Meanwhile, the OG 50v50 Limited-Time Mode (LTM) returns, pitting two teams of 50 against each other in epic battles. This mode will be available until April 14 at 9 AM ET.A meteor has also appeared in the sky, getting closer as the season progresses. Longtime players may remember this event from Chapter 1, hinting that something big could happen soon.
The Walking Dead Joins Fortnite
In an exciting crossover, The Walking Dead Universe has entered Fortnite. Players and creators can now build The Walking Dead-inspired islands using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and Fortnite Creative.
Fortnite creators can now access special Walking Dead-themed tools to design survival-based experiences. Some key features include:
- Walker NPCs - Slow-moving zombies that hunt survivors.
- Shiva Shotgun - A modified pump shotgun that plays a Shiva tiger roar when fired.
- Lucille Melee Weapon - Negan’s infamous barbed-wire baseball bat, perfect for smashing Walkers.
- The Walking Dead Visual Shader – A special effect that gives islands the comic book look of The Walking Dead.
New Content Available Now
Players can jump into The Walking Dead-themed content right away, while creators have until May 16 to build and publish their own Walking Dead-inspired islands using the Creator Portal.
Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead, shared his excitement about the crossover, saying:
