Garena's Free Fire is growing with every update, and the OB49 Advance Server allows players, for a brief time from May 6, 2025, to try out the upcoming enhancements before the official rollout. The server is open until May 16, during which selected players get access to fresh content and share their feedback to make gameplay improvements.
Free Fire OB49 New Character: Kassie & New Pet: Pixy
The new character Kassie tech-savvy medic whose Healing Nova ability heals nearby teammates while inflicting a speed boost for its short duration. This unique ability ensures that she acts as a strategic support in both solo and squad matches, giving teammates a survival and mobility bonus.
Alongside Kassie comes the new pet Pixy, who returns a little extra HP to the player post-reviving the teammate-aggressive support style of play. In addition, the pet system has been upgraded to allow quick assignment of preset pet combos that can be swapped during a match.
Weapon Balancing and Additions
The OB49 update is all about hammering the weapons for a better balance of gameplay. Gracious tweaks have been given to the M1887 and FAMAS to favour greater usage in competitive situations. Also, the AC80-X is a new weapon introduced to disrupt the current meta and provide new alternatives for tactics.
New Map: Solara & Gameplay Enhancements
A big highlight of the OB49 Advance Server is the introduction of a new map called Solara. This map has been split into three zones: an area with a futuristic tower, a mountainous region, and a desert feel akin to the Kalahari map. With different terrains across zones, strategic combat opportunities vary for players.
Besides new characters and maps, OB49 also brings several gameplay improvements. The user interface has been made simpler to navigate; matchmaking has been made quick, fair, and efficient; and, quite frankly, almost every big and small bug has been fixed for better game stability. These are the improvements aimed at giving gamers smoother and truly enjoyable experiences.

Log in using your Google or Facebook account linked with Free Fire.

Put in your active e-mail address and click on "Join Now" for registration.

If selected, you will receive your activation code.

Download the Advanced Server APK from the official site.

Now, install the APK on your device after enabling installation from unknown sources.

Now open the application and enter the activation code to access the server.
Note- Progress made in the Advanced Server does not get carried over into the main game.
