Custom Rooms Go Free: Room Card System Overhauled
One of the most talked-about changes in OB49 is the removal of the traditional room card requirement. According to multiple leaks and content creators, players will soon be able to create custom rooms without needing room cards, making private matches 100% free to host.
This shift means no more spending 100 diamonds per card or grinding through daily missions for a chance to host your own game. However, with this change, those missions (and their rewards) will also be phased out. If you’ve been collecting room cards, they’ll soon become rare collectables, so you might want to save a few as mementoes.
New Room Card Type Incoming
Garena isn’t scrapping the idea of room cards entirely. As part of Free Fire’s 8th anniversary celebration, OB49 will introduce a stunning new map called Solara. Unlike traditional battlegrounds, Solara combines three diverse biomes into a single dynamic environment:
