Gachiakuta Anime Release Date Set for July 2025 on Crunchyroll
Gachiakuta anime hits Crunchyroll in July 2025 with action, revenge, and bold visuals.

The anime Gachiakuta, based on Kei Urana’s manga, is finally coming in July 2025! It was announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the show will stream worldwide on Crunchyroll. The animation is being done by Studio BONES, the same team behind My Hero Academia and Mob Psycho 100.
An Urban Tale of Survival and Vengeance
Gachiakuta follows Rudo, a teen who lives in the slums of a floating city. While the rich enjoy a life of luxury above, the poor struggle to survive below. In this world, trash—and even people seen as useless—are thrown off the city’s edge into a dark abyss.
Rudo’s life changes completely when he’s wrongly accused of murder. As punishment, he’s thrown into the abyss like trash. But the world below isn’t just a dump—it’s full of scary monsters created from human waste. To survive and get revenge on the people who betrayed him, Rudo joins the Cleaners, a group of fighters who battle these monsters and try to take back the world below.

Meet Enjin: The Fierce Leader of Team Akuta
A new teaser for Gachiakuta just revealed Enjin, an important character in the anime. He has spiky blond hair, a big sword, and a cool, gritty look inspired by street style. Enjin leads Team Akuta, a key group in the Cleaners, and works closely with Rudo. He’s voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi, a famous anime voice actor.
The teaser also shows how much Gachiakuta is influenced by urban street culture, a big part of the story’s style, thanks to creator Kei Urana. Fans can expect the anime’s visuals to really stand out because of this.
Strong Creative Team Assembled
The Gachiakuta anime is directed by Fumihiko Suganuma. Hiroshi Seko, who worked on Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen, is in charge of the story. Satoshi Ishino is designing the characters and leading the animation to match Kei Urana’s original art.
The manga has 14 volumes out in Japan, and the English version has been available from Kodansha USA since January 2024. First published in Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2022, Gachiakuta has gained fans for its powerful story, detailed art, and meaningful themes.
Excitement is growing as Gachiakuta gets ready to launch, promising action, emotion, and amazing visuals. With a talented team and the well-known studio BONES behind it, the anime is set to be one of the biggest hits of 2025.
