Genshin Impact 5.6 New Free Weapon Leaks
Leaks indicate that the new bow will have a base ATK of 510 and a secondary stat that increases HP by 41.4%. Its passive skill allows players to deal AoE damage at the target's position.

A recent leak confirms that Genshin Impact Version 5.6 will feature a new free four-star bow. However, fans have mixed feelings about it since it focuses on HP-based damage scaling. This continues the game’s trend of giving free weapons through limited-time events in each update.
Genshin Impact 5.6 Free Weapon Leaks: A New Four-Star Bow with HP Scaling
Leaks indicate that the new bow will have a base ATK of 510 and a secondary stat that increases HP by 41.4%. Its passive skill allows players to deal AoE damage at the target's position, depending on the character's maximum HP. The ability does have a 15-second cooldown, though, which is something some players believe lessens the usefulness of the skill.
Many Genshin Impact players noted that HP-based damage scaling isn’t useful for most DPS characters, who usually rely on ATK and CRIT stats. This bow will mainly benefit Hydro characters since they often use HP scaling. Right now, the only Hydro bow users are Tartaglia, Sigewinne, and Yelan. Among them, Yelan seems like the best fit for the weapon, though its overall usefulness is still uncertain.
How It Compares to Previous Free Weapons
Genshin Impact regularly offers free weapons through events, and some have been very popular. In the last update, players got the polearm Tamayuratei no Ohanashi, which could be upgraded for better stats. While that weapon was well-liked, the new bow has disappointed many because of its limited HP-based scaling.
Leaks suggest that the bow’s base ATK has been slightly increased to balance it. However, players feel this doesn’t help much since HP scaling is still a problem. Some believe HoYoverse designed the bow for a future character, possibly a new Hydro bow user who can make better use of its passive effect.
Aside from the new weapon, the beta test for Version 5.6 has confirmed the introduction of two new playable characters: Escoffier, a five-star Cryo user from Fontaine, and Ifa, a four-star Anemo character from Natlan. The addition of these characters further expands the game's roster, offering players new team-building possibilities. Even though the leaked bow has received mixed reactions, it’s still a free option for players who want to try HP-scaling builds. Since the official update is still weeks away, the weapon could still be adjusted.
As Genshin Impact develops further, gamers are already looking forward to how this bow will be integrated into the game's meta. In the meantime, fans wait for HoYoverse to announce more information regarding the Version 5.6 update.
