Genshin Impact 5.8 Brings New Map, Character Ineffa, and Summer Events
Genshin Impact 5.8 adds a new island map, Ineffa, summer events, outfits, and hidden challenges.
This week, HoYoverse revealed lots of new things coming to Genshin Impact 5.8. What players are gonna see soon? The main big thing is the new area, Easybreeze Holiday Resort. This map is fresh, and it's not going to disappear later; it's staying forever. It is placed in the western part of Natlan. First, it opens just in the trial phase or something. That place is bright and full of colors, which kind of gives off a tropical type of vibe.
Old characters, they're coming back again on this journey. Bennett, and also Mualani, and even Chasca too. Venti is also appearing again; maybe he is going there for a meeting with someone from a long time ago. That whole thing is happening in a new story quest, which they are calling “Sunspray Summer Resort.” Also, they are bringing one small mascot creature, Asha is its name. Asha helps Traveler in exploring, making them float on water and do a little flying up in the air. It can also spray-paint on objects, and the color it makes can help with solving puzzle stuff and unlocking more areas on that island. But under that cheerful and bright place, it’s Mare Jivari hiding down below, and there is a big monster, Bakunawa, waiting for somebody brave enough to come and fight it.
Ineffa Arrives in Genshin 5.8, Summer Event Adds Claymore & Outfits
The update also puts the first character from Nod-Krai called Ineffa. She is not just some normal fighter, but a kind of robot girl, built by a smart mechanic named Aino. She is a 5-star user with Electro polearm and got this new power. They call it Lunar-Charged reaction. When her team triggers Electro-Charged, it switches into Lunar-Charged instead. That makes a Thundercloud come down and zap enemies with Electro again and again, sometimes even hitting critical. She can also make a shield and summon a small helper named Birgitta, who rushes at enemies and does AoE Electro damage, stronger if Thundercloud is close on the ground.
Also, her story is starting now, too. In this version, they named it “The Journey Home,” and it's actually like the first chapter for a bigger thing called "Song of the Welkin Moon." She is going together with Traveler to where she belongs and what type of old dragon mystery is still hiding there somewhere.
In the first wishing banner part, Ineffa she coming along with Citlali. Then for the second banner round, it’s rerun one, where Mualani and Chasca are coming back again. There are also some new mini-game things added. Doing tasks with Kau Kau, playing that Strikers kind of game, having some music party event, and painting stuff using Asha’s spray powers. When players collect enough of that Sunspray Spirit from doing all those, they can open special rewards like a 4-star claymore called “Flame-Forged Insight” and also get Bennett’s new outfit, which has a fire-like color.
Yelan also comes back now, and she is wearing that one fancy outfit from Fontaine, of the style they call “Tranquil Banquet.” She is bringing a camera tool too, which can look at things that the normal eye cannot see. Those clothes are having a lower price for a little time only, so players better go take them fast before it go back to full price again.
