Genshin Impact 5.8 Leaks Reveal Exciting New Elemental Reaction & More!
Genshin Impact 5.8 leaks reveal a new Elemental Reaction called Lunar Electro-Charged, featuring unique damage mechanics, a rumored 5-star Electro character, and a free 4-star Claymore. Here's everything we know so far.

Having leaked the information about Genshin Impact version 5.8, users found out about the addition of a completely new Elemental Reaction named Lunar Electro-Charged. As lead sources claim, the reaction is set off when Electro and Hydro components are combined. Rather than behaving similar to the original Electro-Charged, this new variant will cause a Thundercloud that trails foes and causes consistent Electro harm in an are of impact.
The most special part of the reaction, however, is that the damage will also be able to critically hit, as well as the Crit Rate and Crit Damage being supposedly determined by the calculations of all the stats of the characters involved in those interactions to create that reaction. This implies that the team-building and stat balancing might contribute to an even greater extent towards tapping the potential of the reaction.

Even the visuals of Lunar Electro-Charged are leaked. The damage numbers will be written in italicized font and have a gradient color, that changes from purple to white, being visually differentiable with the other types of reactions.
Not to mention several spoilers have teased the release of a new 5-star Electro character, codenamed Ineffa or Inef that might be central to the introduction of this new reaction. Her skills are expected to supplement or transform a normal Electro-charged with Lunar Electro-charged effects. Her passive abilities have the potential to create Electroclouds who cause additional damage, and her Elemental Burst has a chance to improve the reaction even more due to increasing such parameters as Elemental Mastery.
Moreover, version 5.8 will bring a new free 4-star Claymore star called Flame-Forged Insight. It has a good combination of the new reaction system because the passive effect furnishes Elemental Energy and scales up Elemental Mastery when reactions, such as Electro-Charged or Bloom, take place.
Although official and subject to change, these leaks indicate that with v5.8, combat mechanics and team strategies will be meaningfully altered and will add more depth and variety to gameplay.
