Sunspray Summer Resort is the centerpiece of Genshin Impact’s Version 5.8 update, launching on July 30, 2025. Set off the western coast of Natlan, the Easybreeze Holiday Resort brings in a permanent tropical zone filled with beaches, clear skies, and all sorts of bright activities. Unlike the earlier summer events that used to disappear after a while, this one’s built right into the world itself and stays even after it’s done. It’s got a whole different vibe to it, while also helping expand the world with more lasting content.
The event breaks into four different activity series, each with its own feel and focus. With Flying (Graffiti) Colors, the area kind of turns into a shared art space, where players work together using painting tools that come from Asha, the event’s mascot. Travels Are Fuller With Friends is more of a platforming thing, with players teaming up with dinosaur buddies to gather up treats. Strikers Through the Storm plays more like a precise targeting challenge with some mechanical contraption. A Feast for the Senses mixes rhythm and fighting; players time their attacks with music beats that send shockwaves at enemies.
Rank Requirements, Event Rewards, and Limited Gear
You’ll need to reach Adventure Rank 18 and finish a few main quests to jump into this. Sunspray Spirit is the currency here, earned through the event’s four parts. It lets you unlock stuff like a new four-star claymore, Flame-Forged Insight, and an outfit for Bennett called Adventures in Blazing Hue, plus some Primogems, a Crown of Insight, and upgrade materials.
The update also brings in Ineffa, a five-star Electro polearm character from Nod-Krai. She introduces a new reaction called Lunar-Charged and stars in a story prelude called “Song of the Welkin Moon: The Journey Home.”
