Genshin Impact Elemental Reactions Guide: How to Trigger and Use Every Reaction

Master every Elemental Reaction in Genshin Impact, from Vaporize to Hyperbloom. Learn how to combine elements for maximum combat efficiency.

Genshin Impact has an element system that is a form of main combat. The game contains seven element types—Pyro, Hydro, Electro, Cryo, Dendro, Anemo, and Geo. When two elements mix, they will create an elemental reaction. Players who understand this can fight much better and not always lose to enemies.

Most Reactions That Happen Often

Reactions like Vaporize (Hydro + Pyro), Melt (Cryo + Pyro), and Superconduct (Cryo + Electro) are the most popular ones. Vaporize gives double damage when Hydro comes first, but when Pyro is first, it only does 1.5 times. Melt also works the same way. Meanwhile, Superconduct does not give a strong attack, but it can make the enemy's defense go down, which is useful for those who are doing physical damage.

The other reaction is Overloaded (Pyro + Electro); it makes an AoE explosion, but it also makes the enemy fly backward, which sometimes is not helpful. Electro-Charged (Hydro + Electro) shocks enemies many times, especially if there are many enemies together. Frozen is nice also (Hydro + Cryo); it can stop enemy movement for a short time.

Dendro Element Changed The Reactions

When the Dendro element came into the game, it created more types of reactions. With Hydro, Dendro is making Bloom, which drops Dendro cores. Those can be exploded using Pyro to make Burgeon or hit by Electro to make Hyperbloom, which flies and hits the target.

The other one is Quicken, which comes from Dendro + Electro. It does not do damage directly but leads to Aggravate (which increases Electro) or Spread (boosting Dendro). This is important if you are using characters like Nahida or also Alhaitham, who is focused on Dendro attacks.

Anemo’s and Geo’s Roles Are Not For Big Damage

Anemo and Geo are not making strong reactions for damaging, but still, they are useful. Swirl (Anemo + Element) can spread the element to another enemy, and this makes more reactions possible. Characters like Sucrose and Kazuha are always used for these helpful purposes.

Crystallize is from Geo with other elements, and it makes shields. This does not help in finishing enemies fast, but it gives protection and is good in harder fighting areas.

Learning the reactions is very big for Genshin. It not only makes the game easier but also helps in building the team correctly. When players know what to mix and how to do it properly, then the fight becomes smoother, and stronger bosses can be defeated more quickly.
