The much-anticipated Genshin Impact Version 5.4 update is set to go live soon, bringing various optimizations and adjustments to the game. However, before players can experience the new content, HoYoverse has scheduled a routine maintenance period. During this time, the game servers will be temporarily inaccessible.
Here’s everything you need to know about the release date, maintenance schedule, and compensation rewards for the update.
Genshin Impact Version 5.4 Release Date and Maintenance Duration
HoYoverse has confirmed that the maintenance for Genshin Impact Version 5.4 will begin on February 12, 2025, at 6:00 AM (UTC+8). The process is expected to last approximately five hours, with the game scheduled to be accessible again around 11:00 AM (UTC+8). However, the exact availability may vary based on regional time zones.
To ensure a smooth transition to the latest version, players are advised to complete any unfinished tasks, such as spending Original Resin or finishing ongoing quests, before the servers go offline.
Server Downtime Schedule Across Regions
The maintenance duration will differ depending on a player’s location. Below is the estimated downtime across different regions:
North America (February 11, 2025)
- Pacific Standard Time (PST) – 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Mountain Standard Time (MST) – 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Central Standard Time (CST) – 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Eastern Standard Time (EST) – 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Europe (February 11 - 12, 2025)
- Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) – 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM
- Central European Time (CET) – 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM
- Eastern European Time (EET) – 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM
Asia (February 12, 2025)
- India Standard Time (IST) – 3:30 AM to 8:30 AM
- China Standard Time (CST) – 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Once the maintenance concludes, the Genshin Impact Version 5.4 update will be available for all players.

Maintenance Compensation and Eligibility
To compensate for the downtime, HoYoverse will provide players with 300 Primogems, distributed at a rate of 60 Primogems per hour of server downtime.
Who is eligible for compensation?
- Players must have an Adventure Rank of 5 or higher before February 12, 2025, at 6:00 AM (UTC+8) to receive the rewards.
- The compensation will be sent via in-game mail within five hours after the servers go live.
- The mail will expire after 30 days, so players should claim their rewards before they disappear.
Pre-Installation Feature and File Size
To streamline the update process, HoYoverse has enabled pre-installation for PC, mobile, and PlayStation platforms. This feature allows players to download necessary game files in advance, reducing waiting time once the update goes live.
Estimated File Sizes:
- PC: 3.0 GB – 3.8 GB (total space required: 3.7 GB – 4.2 GB)
- Mobile: 1.0 GB – 1.6 GB
Since Version 5.4 does not introduce a new map, the update size remains relatively small compared to major content expansions.
