Ghost of Tsushima Celebrates 5th Anniversary with Free PSN Avatars for All Players

Claim 3 free Ghost of Tsushima PSN avatars to celebrate its 5th anniversary, available now on PS4 and PS5, no PS Plus required.

To celebrate the fifth year anniversary of Ghost of Tsushima, which was first released back in July 17, 2020, Sucker Punch and also Sony decided to give out something for free to fans: three PSN avatars. These avatars include the game’s main character Jin Sakai, and he’s drawn in black and white art style made by Takashi Okazaki, who also worked on Afro Samurai.

Each design shows Jin in different famous looking poses, wearing his regular outfit with the mask and all the gear, and there’s also that guiding wind symbol added in the background, which is kinda subtle. The art really match the game’s vibe, very clean and quiet but powerful in mood.

PS Exclusive Rewards

If you're playing on PS4 or PS5, you can get these avatars for free, doesn’t even need PS Plus subscription. Just go to the PlayStation Store and use the right code for your region. The codes are:

  • Americas: JMCP-KMTE-3HG2
  • Europe/Australia: 9M9T-ND7G-7H2A
  • Japan: JF28-69XM-EA95
  • Korea: X3BP-MKG5-AQ6R

To redeem it, just login to your PS account, go to the “Redeem Code” section and put in the one for your area. After that, the avatars are gonna appear in your profile settings and then you can just use whichever you like. It’s a pretty quick thing to do.

But, do not wait too long, yes. The codes are not going to remain active forever. It is always good to cash them in before they expire or do something.
As of April 2024, Ghost of Tsushima has gone beyond 13 million selled copies that, to be frank, is a large figure. That is why it is thought as one of the most successful new titles in PlayStation. and then Ghost of Yotei is only on October 2, 2025, but this free little drop serves as a sort of continuation of Jin to keep his hype going.

Not a new DLC or even a mission, no, but it is nice. It is sort of a silent means of appreciation to players. These avatars may not transform the game but they look cool and provide people with a small memento of the journey, or even the clothes so people can wait in style till the next one comes.
