The sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, called Ghost of Yotei, is confirmed. It will be available for PlayStation on October 2, 2025. The game introduces a brand-new protagonist and storyline. Fans can expect an exciting change in the setting as well.
Set in 1603, almost 300 years after the first game, Ghost of Yotei takes you far from Tsushima to the wild lands of Hokkaido. Back then, people called it Mount Yotei, and it wasn’t totally part of Japan yet. The place has grassy fields, snowy mountains, and lots of hidden danger. Hokkaido’s big open lands gives you a new kind of adventure that feels fresh and exciting, not like the samurai world of Tsushima.

A Revenge Story Starts
Ghost of Yotei follows Atsu, a strong character out for revenge. The Yotei Six, a deadly gang, left her for dead. After surviving, Atsu sets out to hunt them down. The gang, including The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito, killed her family. Atsu will do anything to get justice.
The game starts with Atsu seeking revenge, but her journey changes as she meets new allies and makes unexpected friends in Ezo. With the same katana used against her, Atsu's story becomes one of growth and emotional discovery.
New Hero, New Journey
Ghost of Yotei introduces Atsu as the main character, offering a fresh take on the Ghost legend. Her journey is not only about revenge but also includes taking on jobs and bounty hunts to fund her quest. Atsu carries a shamisen and is accompanied by a loyal wolf. Erika Ishii, known for Apex Legends and Destiny 2, voices Atsu, adding depth to her character.
