GTA 5 Online Expanded & Enhanced May Hit PC in March 2025
GTA 5 Online's Expanded & Enhanced update may arrive on PC in March 2025, hints a Rockstar insider.

PC players eagerly awaiting the Expanded and Enhanced version of GTA 5 Online may have a long-awaited release date in their sights. Although Rockstar Games confirmed that the series of updates—formerly exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S—would be made available on PC, they never confirmed a date for those updates. Now, one of Rockstar's most credible insiders has given a hint that the wait might almost be over.
Possible Release Date and Insider Leak
On February 6, 2025, respected Rockstar insider Tez2 took to X (formerly Twitter) to suggest that the Expanded and Enhanced update for PC might arrive on March 4, 2025. Though this remains unconfirmed, it has fueled excitement within the GTA community.
The GTA+ Membership Cycle Connection
Tez2 is speculating with a very prominent change in the GTA+ cycle. The typical GTA+ cycles usually end on a Thursday; however, this cycle is supposed to end on a Tuesday—that is, March 4, 2025. Tez2 thinks this might be due to the rollout of "PC Gen9," the new generation of PC update, just like that which was experienced on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Tez2 also refers to an upcoming content drop regarding the Agents of Sabotage DLC, "Oscar Guzman Flies Again." The event that occurs on March 4 is unclear, but if Rockstar tends to tie its major updates with membership cycles, the Expanded and Enhanced update on PC is likely.
What This Means for PC Players
If this rumour is true, the Expanded and Enhanced update is going to offer better graphics and faster loading speeds, which can make it fully compete with console versions. Indeed, the update that came on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S did introduce ray tracing, higher frame rates, and more immersive details, so any kind of change would be appreciated.
Official Announcement Expected Soon
While Rockstar Games has yet to confirm the March 4 release date, their past approach suggests an official announcement could be imminent. The company often unveils major updates shortly before launch, meaning fans may not have to wait long for confirmation.

Until then, PC players should temper expectations and stay tuned for Rockstar’s official word. As always, leaks and rumours should be taken with caution, but if Tez2’s track record is anything to go by, March 2025 could be a big month for GTA 5 Online on PC.
