Guardians of the Wild Sky Announced: A New Fantasy Co-op Survival Crafting Game for PC
Explore, build, and survive in Guardians of the Wild Sky, a new open-world fantasy co-op crafting game from Eremite Games, coming soon to PC.

So, Eremite Games, who before made that strategy thing Against the Storm, are now doing a brand new kind of game. It’s called Guardians of the Wild Sky. They just announced it, and yeah, it’s another open-world survival crafting game, but this one has more like magic and spirits or something. You’ll be exploring big natural places with friends or just by self, collecting stuff and trying not to die from monsters or whatever the world throws at you.
A Colorful World With Mysteries Inside
The game, is set in a fantasy kind of world that’s got all kinds of places—some forest glowing with lights, cliffs where the wind may blow too hard. There are animals that might run or attack, and trees or plants you can use to do crafting. They also said that things you do can maybe change how the world acts? Not sure how, but it sounds complicated.
You’re some kind of “guardian” and your job is about bringing balance back because everything’s messed up, which sounds pretty classic.

Building, Battling, and Trying To Last
Crafting is a big deal here, of course. You need to collect all the resources (like wood or minerals or what have you), then make weapons and shelters. The bases are more than hiding places — you can improve them and build different workbenches and defenses. That part’s probably gonna take some time.
Fighting is kind of a mix – they said you got melee, range, and also elemental powers. So like hitting stuff with swords, arrows, or maybe lightning? Also, you can call spirit animals to help you. They fight or carry stuff or just look cool, maybe.
Play Alone or With Others (Either Works)
This game’s mostly built for people who like playing together — it allows up to four players to join up and explore. But solo folks aren’t being left out. They said it’ll be good for single players too, since the game changes its difficulty and you can get help from AI-controlled friends. So, if nobody’s online, you can still do things.
Still In Early Times, But On Steam Already
They haven’t said when it’s actually gonna release. Could be next year, maybe later. But it’s on Steam now, so people can wishlist it if they like what they seen so far. They planning to do some kind of closed alpha testing before it launches properly, and sounds like they want player feedback a lot to improve things.
Final Thought
So, yeah. If you liked stuff like Valheim or Don’t Starve Together, this game might feel right. It’s colorful, magical, and has crafting with spirit animals and stuff. It’s not out yet, but Guardians of the Wild Sky might end up being one of those cozy-but-dangerous survival games folks spend way too many hours in.
