Honkai Star Rail Leak Reveals Elation Path & New Characters
New Honkai Star Rail leak hints at the Elation Path, revealing characters like Sparkle's new form, Yae Sakura, and the MC as future units.

A recent leak of the Honkai Star Rail has raised excitement among the community with the implication of a fresh Path called Elation being introduced. Trusted by most, Luna said it is expected that the new playable Path will materialise in version 4.0, along with confirmation of a nice-looking cyber-Japanese-inspired region. As usual, HoYoverse is alleged to reveal a new Path with the release of a major update or with the unveiling of another new location, thus giving a new face to game mechanics and character variety.
The Elation Path: What To Expect
Following the introduction of the new Remembrance Path, which offered some very interesting gameplay centred around Memosprite summoning, Elation is set to continue diversifying the meta. Specifics on the gameplay mechanics for Elation haven't been made clear yet, but it's speculated that it might revolve around emotional or performance-based effects, which would be a whole new direction for how players interact with combat.
Nonetheless, the very life of the Path itself lies in the new characters it brings in. From what the leak suggests, three units will be Elation-aligned at launch:

Trailblazer (Main Character).

Sparkle (Alternate Form).

Yae Sakura (Ice Element).
Sparkle and Yae Sakura Enter the Roster
While Sparkle’s alternate form was leaked some time ago, its alignment with a certain Path remained unknown until now. It was recently established that her alternate form will follow the Path of Elation, which should cause a rather large shift in her style of play.
Meanwhile, Yae Sakura, a popular character of past HoYoverse games, is now said to finally be playable in Honkai: Star Rail. She is rumoured to have a much stronger Ice-based skillset, thereby blending perfectly with the new theme and region. Needless to say, the Trailblazer would be appropriate to take on the new Path and work as the overarching intermediary through which the abilities of Elation are channelled in upcoming battles.
Also, it bears mentioning that this information is from leaks and is subject to change. HoYoverse has yet to make an official statement in regards to version 4.0, Elation Path, or even the characters themselves. Players should take this knowledge with a grain of salt until it is made official.
