How To Stay Calm Under Pressure In Among Us
Staying calm under that kind of pressure? Yeah, easier said than done.. but is it impossible?

Among Us is a game where your ability to lie is tested harder than your last job interview. One second you're chilling, fixing wires, and the next second: someone calls a meeting and your name’s getting dragged through the mud - like you just stole someone's cat from Chinatown. Staying calm under that kind of pressure? Yeah, easier said than done.. but is it impossible?
How To Stay Calm Under Pressure In Among Us
Here’s how to not lose your mind when the heat’s on you:
1. Calm Down
The first instinct when someone accuses you? Panic. Maybe start defending yourself too aggressively. Maybe stop breathing entirely. Both: are terrible ideas.
If you look nervous, people feel nervous about you. Take a second. Chill. Breathe normally. Act normal. Even if you're the impostor and definitely deserve jail time instead divert that energy into thinking. Were you with anyone who you could use as an alibi?
2. Speak When You Need To, Not Because You're Panicking
You don't have to fill the silence. You’re not doing stand-up comedy. If you’re innocent, answer direct questions, and keep it short. If you’re guilty... the same thing. Rambling is hanging a neon sign over your head that says "VOTE ME."
After all, you can't panic when you don't catch strays on purpose or well not on purpose
3. Control Your Vote Energy
Nothing screams "I'm hiding something" like throwing out random votes or skipping when it doesn't make sense. Watch the room. Match the energy. Vote cleanly
(And please don’t self-report badly and then act like you didn’t see the body 2 seconds ago.)
4. Remember: Everyone Else Is Panicking Too
The best part? Half the lobby is also internally screaming. If you look like you’ve got it together, people assume you’re safe. Humans are lazy like that. Fake confidence. It works. Overconfidence makes you look like a serial-killer trying to get donuts in a murder location.
5. If All Else Fails: Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss
If you’re an impostor and the net is closing in, sometimes leaning into the chaos buys you a few seconds. Throw soft shade, if someone is going down on someone then back that person up, divert all attention from you but don't make it obvious because if the person isn't voted out, watch the knife pointed at your own back. How tables turn.
At the end of the day, staying calm in Among Us isn’t about lying better. It’s about looking like you have nothing to hide even if you just vented in Medbay.
