A recent bold prediction by an investment firm named Konvoy Ventures, which is known for its data-driven insights on gaming, has caught every GTA fan's attention. As per the company, GTA 6 could easily earn a massive $7.6 billion in revenue within the first two months of its official release. That being said, if that turns out to be true, it would definitely make Rockstar’s GTA 6 the largest gaming release of all time.

GTA 6 Set to Become the Biggest Game Launch in History with $7.6 Billion Forecast

This figure has been quoted by Josh Chapman, who is also the managing director at Konvoy Ventures, on his LinkedIn post. He wrote that GTA 6 will break all the records within a couple of months after its release. For his calculation, he has assumed the expected game price to be $80. Although not officially revealed, some reports state that the production budget of GTA 6 will cost somewhere in the $2 billion range. Imagine the profitability if the earnings turn out to be as close as they have been predicted.

While all these predictions might sound exciting to you, remember that in the end, it is still speculation, as the revenue of the game depends on many other factors as well. The very first factor might be that the pricing of the game will vary from region to region and type of platform. And there’s always the risk of launch issues, delays, or gameplay disappointments, which could affect early sales.

Nonetheless, even if it is a speculation, the possibility of GTA 6 making that much revenue does not seem to be far off, as the excitement is clearly visible on the ground. The GTA 6 trailer has already become the most-watched gaming content on YouTube.
