League of Legends Introduces Spirit Blossom ARAM Map, ADC Yunara, and New Meta Games
Riot unveils Spirit Blossom ARAM map, ADC Yunara, champion card system, and side-game modes in a major League of Legends Season 2 update.

Riot Games on June 9 talked about new things in League of Legends. One of biggest was the new ARAM map called Koeshin’s Crossing, inspired by the Spirit Blossom theme.
Spirit Blossom Map Comes to ARAM, With Changes in Champion Pick
-
The map is full of purple flowers, trees, and a beautiful background. It looks calm but actually has new mechanics like portals, which move players quickly toward the tower.

Alongside, Butcher’s Bridge is making a comeback, with cannon jumps and Power Flowers that do shielding and CD refund.
These maps are going to rotate with Howling Abyss, Riot saying it will help ARAM to feel fresher without ruining the experience in League of Legends.
Champion Picking Works Different Now
Riot is also testing different systems for how champs are picked in ARAM. Called Champion Cards, it’s a bit different than rerolls.
-
Players get two cards and pick one. The other goes to a bench for the team to maybe swap. Sometimes players will get three cards also.
-
This is meant to give variety without just spamming reroll buttons all the time. Riot thinks it’s more controlled randomness.
ADC Yunara Revealed: A Classic But New Face
Also, Riot announced a brand new champion—Yunara. She is a marksman coming from Ionia and she focuses more on basic attacking.
-
Full details not out yet, but it’s saying she will come around late June. Content creators will show her before that.
-
Good news: She will be unlockable through missions in the client, like Mel was. So people can earn her for free if they do quests.
Other Stuff Too: Mini-Games, Spirits, And Something Else
It’s not only about ARAM and champions. Riot is bringing more gameplay outside of classic game modes:
-
A new side-scrolling game is coming. It’s with Yunara and Xin Zhao, where they fight things in a 2.5D brawler game. You don’t even need to play Summoner’s Rift to do it.
-
A newer version of Spirit Bonds also appears. By playing ARAM or Rift, players can befriend spirits, get lore and cosmetic rewards.
Riot said they’re trying to make League feel wider, like the story and world is bigger than just PvP matches.
Fixes, MSI and A Skin People Waited For
Riot says they are improving how to deal with griefers. Their new system catches 99.95% of such players and punishes them. Some games might end early if ruined by trolls.
-
MSI starts on June 27, and for the first time, there are Pick’em predictions for it. Skins used by winners will be cheaper after.
-
Riot also said one old request is finally happening. Viktor is getting skin that looks more like his older design, not futuristic.
Big updates like this show how League try stay fun and experimental. It’s not only fights on the Rift, but now also flowers, spirits and side-scroll fights.
