LoL Patch 25.10 brings AP item reworks and key champion balance updates.

On May 7, 2025, League of Legends Gameplay Designer Matt Leung-Harrison (@RiotPhroxzon) shared a preview of Patch 25.10. The update brings major AP item changes and a series of champion adjustments to shake up the meta.

AP Items: New Roles, Less Bulk

Several AP items are being reworked.
Cryptbloom now offers more ability haste but less damage. It serves as a smoother, utility-focused option compared to Void Staff.

Hextech Rocketbelt’s health is dropping from 350 to 300. This makes it more appealing to fragile champions like assassins.

Stormsurge is getting a clearer identity. It will be cheaper and boost movement speed but deal less damage. This suits snowball-heavy mages looking for early impact.

These changes aim to cut back on the tanky AP meta. A nerf to Liandry’s Anguish and other ecosystem tweaks will help shift the balance.

Champions: Jungle and Lane Tuning

Vi’s jungle power has crept too high. Her crowd control is staying, but her damage is being reduced to keep her in check.

Fiddlesticks is showing up more in support. To keep his jungle role strong, his W will be adjusted to balance both uses.

Senna is struggling in her AD bot lane role. Riot is bringing back the minion soul drop to give her a needed boost.

Naafiri is still too strong in the jungle. A light nerf will lower her power there without affecting her mid lane play.

Cho’Gath’s updates target top lane. His E and attack speed scale better there. His mid lane strength remains unchanged.
