League of Legends Patch 25.13 Quietly Reshapes MSI 2025 With Buffed Sleeper Picks
Patch 25.13 buffs forgotten champions ahead of MSI 2025, shifting the meta with sleeper jungle and top lane picks likely to surprise on stage.

The League of Legends Patch 25.13 came on June 24. It doesn't seem like much at first glance, but it really can start doing different things to MSI 2025, which is coming on June 27 already. Riot didn’t make big reworks, just more adjustments. They buffed champions that weren't used and did some nerfs to champs that were showing up too many times in games.
League of Legends Patch 25.13: Nerfs Hit Champs That Got Too Popular
Some nerfs came for champions that people have been picking too much lately.
-
Ryze gets his Q's damage down a bit, and he uses more mana now. Not too broken, but still.
-
Twisted Fate now has a longer cooldown on his ultimate, 10 seconds added, so he won’t teleport around the map all the time like before.
-
Vi and Yorick also got small nerfs. Vi’s shield got reduced, and Yorick's armor went down. It's not enough to make them useless, though.
Forgotten Champions Getting Buffed Up
Where this patch shows interest is with champions that no one was caring much about. Some of these buffs might make them surprise picks in MSI.
Changes In Jungle and Flex Picks
-
Kindred now has a shorter cooldown for her R. This is going to make her a better pick when teamfights get messy.
-
Nidalee’s spear hits harder now. More damage on AP scaling makes her scary again for some people.
-
Fiddlesticks has more AP scaling on his drain skill. Might not be everybody’s favorite, but it can do a lot of damage if not shut down early.
-
Rammus gets more HP every level and better resist stats with his W. Could even go top lane sometimes.
Top Lane Becoming a Bit Fierce
-
Irelia is getting more attack speed from her passive now. So her trades in the early lane might be stronger if done right.
Bot Lane Still Around Scaling
ADC didn’t really get changed much in this patch. Champs like Sivir and Jinx will still be good. Though a few odd ones like Twitch, Nilah, or even Brand could show up, depending on what kind of team comp it is. Not many expect those, though.
Champions That Could Surprise People
Role | Sleeper Pick | What's Different |
---|---|---|
Jungle | Kindred | Shorter ult cooldown, better objective fights |
Jungle | Nidalee | Big spear damage now hurts more |
Jungle/Top | Rammus, Fiddlesticks | Tanky or damage surprise tools |
Top | Irelia | Faster hits early on, stronger trades |
MSI 2025 play-in stage is very close now, and with Fearless Draft, it might make teams pick stuff they usually don’t. Those sleeper champs might matter.
Patch 25.13 is not breaking the game, but it pushes certain champions back into light. It depends on which team knows how to use those well. It could be a fun MSI if teams take risks with new strategies, not only meta stuff.
