LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Is Now Free on Epic Games Store

Get LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga free on Epic Games Store for a limited time!

To celebrate Star Wars Day 2025, the Epic Games Store has announced an exclusive promotion with deep discounts on multiple titles and a surprise free game giveaway. In a gesture that fits the digital storefront's modus operandi of rolling out "May the Fourth" sales early, Epic's celebration started earlier this month and now adds a limited-time giveaway of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

The TT Games-developed action-adventure game, which first launched in April 2022, can be downloaded for free from the Epic Games Store until May 5 at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET / 5 p.m. CET. This 24-hour period is considerably shorter than usual free game giveaways for the store, although it should be said that the game was also available as part of a week's free giveaway during December 2024. As such, much of the present user base could already have the game in their EGS collections.

In spite of its fleeting window of release, the title continues to be a high-ticket giveaway. Critically acclaimed on release, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga boasts a "Strong" OpenCritic rating of 82 on average, and an 88% recommendation. On Steam, it boasts more than 35,000 user reviews, most of which are "Very Positive," establishing itself as a beacon among recent Star Wars titles.

Along with the giveaway, Epic's Star Wars Day sale boasts deep discounts on successful franchise titles. The top picks include a 70% price drop for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Deluxe Edition, 85% off of Star Wars: Squadrons, and 50% off Star Wars Outlaws. The Sims 4 fans also have the option to grab the Journey to Batuu expansion discounted by 30%, while Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order—standard and deluxe editions—are discounted by 85%.

The Epic Games Store's free game lineup continues beyond the Star Wars celebration. Super Space Club is still available to claim through May 8. Beginning May 8, users can also grab Touch Type Tale and Deadtime Defenders for free.
