Lewis Hamilton Expresses Eagerness for Grand Theft Auto 6 Release
F1 star Lewis Hamilton says he’ll cancel all work for GTA 6’s release. Discover why even celebrities are excited for Rockstar’s most awaited game set in Vice City.

F1 star Lewis Hamilton recently stated that all his commitments will be cancelled when Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) comes out. The seven-time world champion and avid gamer is pumped to play the new video game. Although the game is dated for May 26, 2026, it has everyone excited.
And not just fans; even celebrities like Hamilton are deciding to take a break from work to just play it.
Lewis Hamilton to Prioritize GTA 6 During Formula 1 Break
Lewis Hamilton shared this fun and surprising comment while talking to fans at a Formula 1 event. He said that he really enjoys playing video games and often plays Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed, and Gran Turismo.
But the game he’s most excited about is GTA 6. He even joked that he will cancel all his work when the game finally comes out, just so he can play it.
This is a great example of how important and exciting GTA 6 is before it's even released. Lewis Hamilton, who happens to be racing for Ferrari, might actually get some time to play the game.
The game, incidentally, is launched in between a small break of the Formula 1 race calendar with two races next to each other, so he may be able to fit GTA 6 in and not be interrupted by work. Meanwhile, fans are already active.
They're going back through trailers, watching them back and forth, and going through screenshots looking for things that they missed from the trailer. Some say they noticed a little hint from Vice City, a famous location in the old GTA games.
The excitement is so big that even other game developers are becoming anxious about GTA 6's launch and if they can even compete with it on its launch.
What to Expect from GTA 6
Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to be the most ambitious game ever made by Rockstar Games. Set in a modern-day version of Vice City, the game will feature two main characters named Jason and Lucia.
It is said to include a massive open world with brand-new areas to explore. With improved graphics, smarter AI behavior, and updated gameplay systems, GTA 6 promises a truly next-level experience.
Fans are especially excited about returning to Vice City, which was last seen in the early 2000s. The excitement is so high that even celebrities like Lewis Hamilton are looking forward to playing it.
