The Shanghai entertainment company, NetEase Games, has announced some juicy details regarding Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, which is supposed to hit on January 10 at 1 AM PST. The new season will feature Dracula as the main villain in New York, casting it into darkness. In addition to thrilling updates to gameplay, users can prepare for unique Twitch Drops, a new couple of heroes, and a new game mode.

Twitch Drops Rewards

Marvel Rivals' official Twitter page revealed that Twitch Drops will reward players with Hela-themed cosmetics during the launch of Season 1. The rewards include:

• Hela [Will of Galacta] Spray: Watch for 30 minutes.

• Hela [Will of Galacta] Nameplate: Watch for 1 hour.

• Hela [Will of Galacta] Skin: Watch for 4 hours.

The spray features Galacta looking astonished, while the nameplate highlights Hela’s armour in deep blue with a purple backdrop. The highly anticipated Hela skin boasts a striking blue, purple, and teal colour scheme. Players can claim these cosmetics by linking their Marvel Rivals account to their Twitch account and watching eligible streams between January 10, 12 AM UTC, and January 25, 11:30 PM UTC.

Some players, however, have expressed disappointment with Hela’s rewards, given that she will receive a nerf with the new season update. Notably, this marks the second character to feature Twitch Drops, following Magneto’s spotlight during Season 0.

New Heroes and Expanding Roster

Season 1 also brings the Fantastic Four to Marvel Rivals, expanding the roster to 37 playable heroes. The Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic will debut on January 10, while the Human Torch and The Thing will arrive in a mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later. This staggered release aims to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging for fans.

Introducing Doom Match

Adding to the excitement, NetEase Games has announced a brand-new game mode, Doom Match, debuting with Season 1. This chaotic free-for-all pits 8–12 players against each other in a high-stakes battle. Players are eager to test their skills in this new mode, which promises intense and unpredictable gameplay.
