The Minecraft movie live event started on March 25, 2025 saw enormous success, The event gave fans ample time to complete the tasks to get the chance to earn the limited edition movie themed cape. Yet, gaining the reward is no easy task, and due to major demand the deadline has been extended! So, if you were one of the unlucky/occupied players who were unable to get the reward- don't worry because Mojang has now got you covered!

Minecraft Movie Live Event Extended Date

The Minecraft movie live event has been extended due to popular demand allowing fans to participate and complete quests to earn the cape until April 14, 2025. This gives players an extra entire week to complete all six missions in the community event –to get their hands on the iconic cosmetic item.
How To Get the Yearn Cape?
why do you guys keep excluding java edition every time you do events, give out capes, etc? no offense but minecraft was born on the pc and it feels totally abandoned for xbox. even the mcdonalds cards were bedrock codes lol. why are you hating on java players so much?

To get the cape players can open the game on top onto the Minecraft movie live event Banner which is on the left side of the home screen page.
Click on the event Banner to be teleported to the live event area where players can participate and compete in different challenges to earn the free game. The 6 challenges are based on various missions that the players will have to finish.

After all six quests have been completed, players will be rewarded with the yearn cape. Players can also make the cape available on the Java edition of the game by claiming it in the Bedrock Edition.
