Mumbai Comic Con 2025 to Spotlight Indian Indie Games with Largest PC and Console Showcase
Mumbai Comic Con 2025 to host Indie Game Utsav, India's biggest indie PC and console game showcase.

Mumbai Comic Con 2025 is set to become the stage for India's biggest independent gaming event Indie Game Utsav. This premier festival will highlight over 40 high-quality PC and console indie games, making it the largest showcase of its kind in the country. Hosted at the Jio World Convention Centre from April 12 to 13, 2025, the event is part of Maruti Suzuki Arena presents Mumbai Comic Con, powered by Crunchyroll.
The initiative is backed by industry giants such as Xbox, Xsolla, Specter, and Nodwin Gaming, with IGDA India (International Game Developers Association) serving as the Community Partner. With India’s gaming market rapidly expanding PC gaming alone contributing to 22% of the country’s video game revenue Indie Game Utsav aims to promote locally developed titles and foster a strong PC and console gaming culture.
A Platform for Indian Indie Developers
Indie Game Utsav is the brainchild of Avichal Singh, Co-Founder and Game Director of Nodding Heads Games, the studio behind Raji: An Ancient Epic, India’s first major PC and console gaming success. Speaking about the event, Singh emphasized its role in addressing long-standing business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) challenges faced by indie developers.
"We want to create a path for Indian indie games to succeed globally, just like Raji did. Thanks to Nodwin’s support, we can now celebrate the best talent in Indian indie development at Mumbai Comic Con," he said.
Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Nodwin Gaming, echoed Singh’s sentiments. "Nodwin started with a deep love for PC gaming, so supporting indie developers feels like a full-circle moment. We’ve always believed in the immense potential of Indian game creators, and our goal is to make their work more accessible to gamers. Indie Game Utsav is just the beginning of a larger movement to open up the gaming industry and make it more inclusive."
Opportunities for Developers to Connect with Global Publishers
A major highlight of Indie Game Utsav is the opportunity for Indian developers to engage with international publishers. Some of the key industry players attending include Krafton, Garena, Epic Games, Neon Doctrine, Dangen Entertainment, Xbox, Xsolla, 1312 Interactive, and Untold Tales. Additionally, developers will have digital networking opportunities with major names like Devolver Digital, Raw Fury, Plugin Digital, Women in Games, White Thorn Games, Bright Gambit, HeroCraft, Spielfabrique, and Toge Productions.
