My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Episode 1 Recap

In Episode 1 of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, titled “I’m Here,” we meet Koichi Haimawari, a 19-year-old college student with a simple Quirk called “Slide and Glide.” He’s not a licensed hero, but he still tries to help people in small ways. Koichi’s world gets turned upside down when he crosses paths with Pop☆Step, a bold street performer known for her flashy concerts and incredible jumping, and Knuckleduster, a vigilante.

The three of them team up to take on a group of thugs whose powers have been dangerously boosted by a mysterious drug called Trigger. As the episode ends, they find strength in each other and step into a new life of underground hero work.
