Nintendo Switch 2 To Release In Multiple Phases

Revealed on April 2, The Nintendo Switch 2's pre-orders will go live on April 9, and the launch will take place in multiple folds, with the first one going live on June 5, 2025. Given below are various phases and what you can expect from them:

  • Phase 1: June 2025: The console will launch with the exclusive Mario Kart World, which will be available for early buyers.
  • Phase 2: Phase 2 will take place in October or November. In this phase, Nintendo Switch 2’s game library will expand.
  • Phase 3: The third phase will be the Holiday Season, and you can expect an array of new games and possibly accessories or special editions.

Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-order Price, Games, and GameCube

Starting April 9, you will be able to pre-order Nintendo Switch 2 in the US markets. But this comes with a few perks of its own. When you pre-order the $449.99 console, you will get the game handler and the accessories. But if you spend an additional $50, you will get limited-edition bundle of Mario Kart World. 

Besides Mario Kart World, you will also be able to enjoy other games like The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and F-Zero GX if you are a fan of arcade game, which will come in high resolution and could make the Nintendo Switch 2 worth it, IF you were on two minds about it. 

Nintendo Switch Online is bringing GameCube games into its lineup of classic games, now called "Nintendo Classics." Similar to the Game Boy and N64 offerings, playing GameCube games will cost the Expansion Pack subscription tier. It will make the existing NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis lineup available, so the Expansion Pack will be worthwhile despite the half-completed library of classics, especially when paired with DLC for new Switch titles.
