Niantic has officially announced the return of the Pokémon GO Festival of Colors, promising an array of vibrant in-game events and exclusive rewards. Scheduled to run from March 13 at 10:00 a.m. to March 17, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time, this annual celebration will feature unique Pokémon appearances, bonus durations for in-game items, and the much-anticipated debut of Shiny Bruxish.
Event Highlights and Bonuses
Throughout the event, Trainers can expect special surprises when they approach PokéStops. Lure Modules activated during the Festival of Colors will remain active for three hours, while Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for two hours. Players using Incense are more likely to encounter Bruxish, and taking daily snapshots may reveal a Shiny Smeargle.
The wild will also be livelier with increased appearances of various Pokémon, including Drowzee, Magikarp, Natu, Aipom, Meditite, Dwebble, and Bruxish. For the first time in Pokémon GO, Trainers will have the opportunity to catch Shiny Bruxish. Additionally, region-specific Flabébé will emerge based on geographical location:
- Red Flower Flabébé – Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
- Blue Flower Flabébé – Asia-Pacific region
- Yellow Flower Flabébé – Americas
Regardless of location, White Flower Flabébé and Orange Flower Flabébé may also be found in the wild.
Raid Battles and Research Tasks
The Festival will also bring special Raid Battles. Tapu Koko will headline Five-Star Raids, while Mega Swampert will be featured in Mega Raids. Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon will appear in Three-Star Raids, giving Trainers a chance to capture these beloved Eeveelutions.
Event-specific Field Research tasks will reward participants with Stardust and encounters with themed Pokémon.
Exclusive Timed Research Opportunities
Both free and paid Timed Research quests will be available during the event. The free research will offer items such as Incense, Rare Candies, and encounters with event Pokémon. Players can also purchase a premium Timed Research ticket for $2.00 USD (or equivalent local currency), which grants additional rewards, including Lure Modules, Incense, Stardust, and increased chances to encounter Bruxish.
Special Bonuses for Trainers in India
Trainers in India will receive exclusive regional perks during the Festival of Colors. These include Branching Timed Research, one-star raids featuring Pikachu wearing a kurta, and a bonus of one extra Candy for catching Pokémon through raids.
