Scarlet and Violet Made the Road for the Next

Back on November 18, 2022, Scarlet and Violet came with introduced the Paldea region in an open-world way. That was a very new thing for Pokémon games. More than 120 new creatures got added, and there were also new features like Paradox Pokémons, the Terastallizing system, and Union Circle multiplayer exploration. The three-story paths gave players different types of game experiences.

But many players did not like the technical part of the game. There were many glitches and poor performance, especially in older Switch models. Then, in June 2025, an update was launched for Switch 2 that made it much better. Even after that, new content still keeps coming for Scarlet and Violet, like Tera Raid events. Some of the recent raids, like ones for Shiny Ruinous Pokémon, received criticism because players could not capture them directly.

If Generation 10 really is coming in February 2026, then it will give Game Freak enough time to do more work since Z-A is releasing in October 2025. Many fans are now hoping that the new game will be better polished and with improved graphics using the power of Switch 2. Some players want the journey to go back to Kalos or connect with Paldea again. But nothing is clear yet.

All are now waiting for Pokémon Company to announce it officially. Until then, excitement is already building as the next main Pokémon step looks very close now.
