Pokemon UNITE Asia Champions League 2025: Day 2 Highlights
Day 2 of the Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League 2025 finals kicked off with the remaining matches of Group D of the group stages. In the first match we saw, Zeta Division, with score 2-0 securing their victory over Talon Esports, advanced to the playoffs. In the second match of group D, there was an intense last-moment battle between IGZIST and INSOMNIA, after which INSOMNIA secured their victory.
In the quarterfinals, there were a total of 8 teams from the Group Stages: Zeta Division, Nagoya OJA, ONIC Rise, IGZIST, Alter Ego, FN Esports, INSOMNIA, and INSOMNIA, fighting to secure their spots in the semifinals.
Unfortunately, squads such as IGZIST, Nagoya OJA, FN Esports, and Paper Rex failed to qualify for the semifinals. Yet, their quest was nothing short of thrilling. We witnessed heart-stopping and action-filled quarterfinals that had us on the edge of our seats. The top 4 Teams, Zeta Division, ONIC Rise, Alter Ego, and INSOMNIA from the quarterfinals were qualified for the semifinals.
The first game of the semifinals was held between INSOMNIA and ZETA DIVISION. This match was nothing short of incredible, and the previous defending champion of PUACL, ZETA DIVISION, has been thrown out of contention, and INSOMNIA secured their victory with 2-0. The second game, between Luminosity Gaming and Alter Ego, was intense till the last second, and by defeating LG, Alter Ego became the second finalist of the Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League 2025 Grand finals.
Before the finals showdown, we witnessed a third-place tie-breaker between ZETA DIVISON and LG, by which LG became the third-position holder of the Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League 2025 finals. In the final match, INSOMNIA became the champions of the Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League 2025 after defeating Alter Ego.INSOMNIA won a massive prize of $60,000 and also secured their spot for the world championship.
