PUBG Mobile Bans Over Massive Number of Accounts & Devices in Latest Anti-Cheat Crackdown
PUBG Mobile enforces a major anti-cheat update, permanently banning 469,025 accounts and 10,224 devices from March 14 to 20. The crackdown also removed 1,419 cheat ads, reinforcing fair play in the game.
PUBG Mobile has once again demonstrated its dedication to fair play with its new anti-cheat enforcement update. From March 14 to March 20, the developers of the game enforced decisive actions against cheating, leading to a total of 469,025 player accounts that were permanently suspended. Another 10,224 devices were also permanently suspended, further solidifying the game's strict policy on repeat cheats.
Breakdown of Banned Accounts per Rank
The anti-cheat report also showed the breakdown of banned accounts by rank, with it noted that there is no tier that is absolutely safe from dishonest play. Most of the banned accounts, 62%, were those of players who were in the Bronze tier, indicating rampant cheating even among lower-level competitors. At the same time, 16% were from the Ace level, with smaller percentages being on Platinum (3%), Diamond (3%), Gold (5%), Silver (6%), and Conqueror (2%). These stats show that cheating is common at all competitive levels, ruining the gaming experience for players.
Targeting Cheat Promotion and Distribution
PUBG Mobile is cracking down on cheats by not only banning players but also removing 1,419 ads that promoted illegal game modifications. These removed ads collectively had a reach of over 2,079,866 followers and views, reflecting the scale of the problem. PUBG Mobile is restricting access to cheat providers to make it harder for players to find and use unfair advantages. This helps create a fairer gaming experience for everyone.

The report also provided insights into the most frequently used cheats. The majority 74% were categorized under "others," indicating a wide array of unauthorized modifications. Auto-aim hacks, which assist players in targeting opponents with unnatural precision, accounted for 11% of detected cheats. Speed hacks and x-ray vision each made up 6%, while cheats modifying area damage constituted 3%. Understanding these trends allows developers to refine their anti-cheat mechanisms and improve detection systems.
